Benson and Hedges.

2) The Sculptress: Olive called her sister Amber, instead of her real name of Alison. Why?
Because as a child, Olive couldn't say Alison's name and it came out sounding like Amber.

3) The Scold's Bridle: What was the name of Mathilda Gillespie’s husband?
James.

4) The Dark Room: What was Jinx Kingsley's job?
Photographer.

5) The Echo: Who was Billy Blake?
Peter Fenton

6) The Breaker: Where was Kate Sumner’s body found?
The beach at Egmont Bight, near Chapman's Pool, beneath Houns Tout cliff on the coast of Dorset. (Any of those answers would do.)

7) The Shape of Snakes: Derek Slater once tells Michael Percy that his mother reminded him of a certain kind of snake. What kind was it?
Sidewinder.

8) Acid Row: Where does the name Acid Row come from?
From a sign on the housing estate where the action in the book takes place. The sign had said 'Welcome to Bassindale Row' but over the years, it had been vandalised until there came a time when the council no longer replaced the sign and it read 'Welcome to assi d Row'. Since this suited the estate more, it came to be known as 'Acid Row'.

9) Fox Evil: What was the relationship between Wolfie and Fox?
Wolfie's mother was living with Fox but Fox was not Wolfie's biological father.

10) Disordered Minds: What were Jonathan Hughes' racial roots (the nationality of his mother and father)?
Chinese and Jamaican.
