My name is Sabaa and I am 17 years old. I have always been a bookworm and although I have read some truly fantastic books by some great authors, I have never written to anyone. However, when I picked up Disordered Minds from the local library I was COMPLETELY hooked from the first page. I just thought it was genius how it was impossible to tell whodunnit until the last page. As talented as today's writers are, I always believe it is a rare talent for a crime writer to keep the suspense up until the last second. However, you managed to do this superbly and you are now definitely my favourite author. I have just finished Fox Evil and am now back off to the library to pick up Acid Row. Although I generally dislike topical issues being represented in books, in your books it is so interesting because it often seems to be the backbone of your story. I would just like to say thank you for being such a superb writer and please keep on writing for a very long time...(or at least until all the paper in the world runs out.)

I have just read Disordered Minds, and I just had to write and tell you how great it was. I am an avid reader of crime thrillers and normally there is the killer and the pursuer and a race against time to stop the murders. However, I thoroughly enjoyed your book because it was a cold case and I love analysing crime scenes and guesswork on the part of who's responsible for what. It kept me reading just to find out what George and Jon were on to, and I also liked the layout of the book. It made the characters more personal to me and I felt like I was receiving the emails myself. And of course reading and analysing statement of witnesses. It made me feel like I was assisting in the search for truth. Thank you for a brilliant read that kept me doing guesswork until the end!

I just finished reading Disordered Minds (in German ). I read a lot of books written by you before, but I have to say this one I liked the most so far because of the special style and form. This was really great fun reading. I hope you have enough time and inspiration to go on creating such thrilling novels in the future.

Just finished reading your book Disordered Minds. I greatly enjoyed the story. Very good reading. What drew me to taking it out of the library was your name. It's the same as mine. The only other time I had seen that name was my godmother, for whom I was named. It's a good name and you are a great writer. Glad I found you and I will look for more books written by you!

I have just finished reading Disordered Minds and had to thank you for yet another astounding literary achievement. Every time I read a Minette Walters novel, I keep asking myself how can she perform such miracles without repeating herself in the least? I have read all your novels (except The Tinder Box, a mistake soon to be rectified) and been thoroughly engrossed in the plots and the characters up to a point of neglecting my own work. Can't begin to explain how impressed I am by the meticulous deconstruction you bring about in your stories (my favourite ones are The Shape of Snakes, the best psychological thriller I have ever read, The Scold's Bridle and Disordered Minds).

It'll be a while before I can put the clever characterization of Louise Burton out of my flabbergasted mind, but hey, this is nothing compared to my perpetual shock at your ability to construct such demanding stories at the price of a sane reader's sleep. No complaints. I'd rather read all night long than spend my nights dreaming about the next Minette Walters book!

I am a big fan of yours. I think your novels are amazing, especially Disordered Minds or "Plagede sinn", which is the Norwegian title of the book. What fascinates me the most, is the way you are able to let small details get a huge place in the whole picture. If anything, the psychology just make the book even better! Best of luck in the future, keep on writing. I LOVE YOUR BOOKS SO MUCH :-)

I've just finished reading Disordered Minds - it was absolutely marvelous - and by the strangest coincidence last evening I watched the movie "Let Him Have It". I had recorded it from the Independent Film Channel on our DISH Network a few weeks ago, and here I was watching it at the same time as reading D-M!

Actually, when I started reading D-M I felt as if I were peering over shoulders looking at reports and letters, and I clearly remembered the Derek Bentley case from when I lived in England, I was born and grew up there (I now live on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State - U.S.)
At the end of the film, I was amazed to see that Craig is now living an exemplary life - pity Derek Bentley never got the chance.

Anyway, I wanted to say how much I enjoy your books, I have every single one of them - and have enjoyed them all. In fact, I've recommended them to many friends and relatives, even buying them as gifts... thank you for such wonderful work!

I have read your books for years, and have been a fan since the first one.
I know that when I pick up a novel by you that I am in for a rollicking ride. I work at a bookstore and recommend your works to all of my customers. I also print a card with my favorite mystery authors, and your name is on the list. I just finished reading Disordered Minds, and I will definitely be mentioning that to people.
